It's been a long time since my last post.
Mostly because I simply had nothing to post.
How interesting would it be to read a post that goes:

I woke up.
Ate and studied.
Went to sleep.

For a month?
(In case you were wondering, the answer is: not very.)

But now that JC has started again, things are beginning to rush by.
I so need to get things done.
For instance, the rest of my math holiday package. Graphs is due tomorrow and I still haven't finished it!
I have like totally lost touch with Mathematics.
That holds true for most of my subjects (Economics to a lesser extent)
I realise that I am extremely unfit now.
Although I did lose weight (0.6 kg! Big accomplishment, I know /sarcasm mode off), I currently cannot run 6 rounds around the track in 12 or even 13 minutes. Even 2 rounds left me breathless and aching all over. Which is a far cry from the days of when 6 rounds was easy-peasy.

GP is still difficult - but it seems to be getting easier (Parodoxical, I know). It's tough to explain why though. Perhaps one year of JC brings 'enlightenment' to one on General Paper solutions.

So far, I haven't been stressed out to the extent of pulling my hair out, but that doesn't mean it's gonna be easy-going. Especially next week, which WILL be a major killer.

So I've finally gotten down to actually doing my work, and it's great.
Well maybe it wasn't so great in the beginning. Like for econs, I took one look and went WTF is this shit?
But after more revision I'm much better.
At least I can still spout out all the definitions of stuff.
But that's only one subject. Need to do the same for the others as well.
Expecially that dreadful subject Chemistry.

Did I mention that there's like 3 weeks left till school reopens?

I've been feeling rather dazed these couple of days.
Not too sure why.

The bad thing is, for the past two days, I have been feeling angry/sad/happy/moody. Which is very very bad. This was the kind of stuff I swore never to have again after the end of secondary 4.

I've come to realise that for the past few months, my dreams have contained a large amount of:
1. Anger
2. Horror
3. Vulgarities (mostly by me)
4. Depression

But now I will put this behind me, and focus on this stupid project work.

A lot of swear words and angry thoughts are running through my mind, but I shall not post them here.

Instead, I shall state the positive experiences I had today.
The best of which took place in the library, where I found out that my class actually has enough gossip (I'm thinking this isn't exactly the best word to use, but nevermind) to keep me entertained. At least for one period.

wasn't hungry, but forced down some lunch anyway.

got the math tutorial. and I didn't do my tutorial. wow. what am I turning into...
econs lecture after that. I'm pinning all my hopes on econs now. If that doesn't get me a pass... I don't know what will.
PW. apparently we must score like full marks or they'll screw us or something.
then the highlight of the day had to be the GP lesson.

we have a new tutor.

she can come across as a bit intimidating.
but I think she can set the class in the right direction.
assuming of course, that we don't stumble and fall on our way to the goal.
I'm satisfied with my essay. at least its a pass. I was expecting abysmal results due to the fact that I had used totally irrelevant examples and somehow passed them off as valid points.
bio tutorial. sianxz again. cannot pass liao if the pass mark remains is at 60.

well I'm finally in the mood to blog.
also because I finally have something to blog about apart from my boring daily activities -.-
well I went to ehub to meet the few r4 ppl who were going.. really very few.
cheng boon was there already, he say the queue like 1 km long, like wth la. not even 20m can. thought I was late, manda and wei lin were even later >.>
queued for like mm 40 minutes? yea. to get those tickets for transformers.
movie was okay lar. most movies are about the same to me anyway. lol.
needed to pee >.> why the movie so long one...
zu an met up with us for lunch. strangely enough, I didn't have much of an appetite.
teck li was supposed to eat lunch with us lor. but being typical teck li, he was late, so we went to the arcade. they played a bit, I didn't. I don't like arcade games at all.
then teck li called cheng boon, and I took the call for him. mumble mumble one, cannot hear teck li at all lor. then later cheng boon still blame me -.-
so we kept calling teck li till he finally picked up. and then we met him at NTUC. lol.
played pool till like 5.30 I think? I could hardly remember how to play it liao.
then we took a coupla pictures (I think it was 1 or 2 lol) and went home.

it seems kinda short, but thats cos I summarised the whole thing.
and now I feel tired for no reason -.-
but at the same time, I feel oddly content.

k so we went to SPCA to interview the person today.
was at paya lebar MRT by 1230, the rest didn't turn up till 1++.
made it to the SPCA on time. whew.
it's a lot smaller than I thought.
the interviewee was a woman called selina. she's quite nice. although we didn't get to interview her till 2.30, since the room wasn't free. so I hurriedly scribbled the questions in the correct order.
so... I got the 'honour' of being the interviewer. -.- wth, not fair loh ):
but no need to fear, cos she was really nice and informal.
hoepfully we'll be able to use parts of the interview.

gosh my butt hurts. must be the effect of sitting on the bicycle seat for one hour...
I think I should elaborate on yesterday's BBQ.
met kim yong at kembangan at around 6pm, where his mom drove us to hong ye's place to pick her up.
discussed a bit of GP on the way there. made me a little depressed though.
when we got to ECP, we just walked a bit to our BBQ pit (actually the CO had booked two)
but then it turns out, we didn't really need two.
so... at first there were only 3 guys: me, ky and kok nam. and about 12+ girls. only 1 J2.
so, we got stuck with cooking the food. which I have no idea how anyway, but that doesn't matter :D hehehe...
took a break and walked with ky and hong ye for about 20 min
so like after 1 hr, the rest of the CO (J1s and J2s) arrived.
Finally someone to take over! :D
we went to rent the bicycles. kinda ex though. $5 per hr.
lucky I still know how to cycle!!!
So we cycled for one straight hr, from the rental shop till where the cycling route ended and back.
it was fantastic, not too many people blocking our way.
I don't feel safe cycling with one hand/freehand.
when we were done with our cycling and got back to the BBQ area, was about 9.20 already.
quite a bit of the CO had left.
Yummy! Got prawns!! And satay! But no more hot dogs )= and we didn't get to eat the sotong.
ky's mom sent us back to kembangan, where I took the MRT back to tampines.

woke up today and thought it was sunday.became very sian. and then I realised it's actually saturday. so I'm not so sian anymore.

I keep feeling angry/sad/confused. Damn I wish I could just ignore it and move on.

failed the bio test.
horribly.
its the worst mark I have ever gotten in the history of science.

my main problems were:
a lack of key terms... like wth, am I not specific enough...
for qn 1, I do not know how we were supposed to know what a 'cell line' is.
for b), its ok since... actually its not ok. I'm not very convinced by the answer.

I'm quite pissed for qn 3. I guess I was too specific. Must be less specific next time.
and for part b) onwards, I do not understand how we were assumed to know that a mitogen is a substance that initiates/catalyses/whatever mitosis.
no comment on the essay question.

was so sleepy that I dozed off while revising bio.
slept for about 2 hrs.
bio does that sometimes.

felt kinda sian today.
and yesterday too.
but must not emo, cos it's bad for health.

its really amazing how fast mrs koh (i.e. ms ng) went through the tutorial. lucky I did it last night.
then chem lecture.
went through at a blistering pace. I THINK I understand the concept.. kinda.
wrote the cards n stuff for the seniors with kim yong and hong ye after that. I hope I didn't write the wrong stuff.
went to NAS to collect the cert with kim yong after that.
the sch still isn't done upgrading... lucky we graduated liao.
ate at mac after that. I feel kinda guilty for that.
sat and talked with kim yong until yongyuan arrived.

hello.
I had a rather normal day.
GP exam first thing in the morning.

I blew it.
There goes my hopes of getting at least a D for this...
it really is quite depressing.
got a note from our GP tutor who's about to leave soon.
She believes that I am capable of an A.
The thing that gets me down is, I know that I am capable of that, but I am simply not performing well at all. Quite inexplicably so. This makes me feel that I'm letting down my tutor...

The class spent about 20 minutes discussing where to go for our NE learning journey.
Then we spent another 10 minutes quarelling over where to eat.
In the end, we decided to eat separately, with all of us meeting at the MRT at 2pm.
went to the cafe at the library to eat, but the waiting time was so long that I simply gave up and went to the food centre below.

Finally got on the MRT, and the class camwhored like mad.
I think we were irritating the other commuters D=

In the end, we went to the esplanade for our 'NE learning journey'
didn't really do anything much, other than more camwhoring.
hmm. Theres only 1 photo of me which we took today that I like.
The one with us posing as though we were the stars of some teen drama.
the background is pretty nice too.

watched the monsters vs. aliens movie at lido after that.
and after that (I'm skipping a lot here since I'm lazy) I took the MRT home with joel.
Man. I still think cheng boon sucks. Anyone agree with me? :D

went running just now.
only covered about 1.1km before I became very breathless.
then tried running a bit more, but got a stitch.
so I sat down.
could hardly breathe. must have been the smoke wafting from the bin nearby.

k so I met up with the rest of the group to do PW today.
was a little late, cos I spent about 45 minutes (as usual) getting ready to go out of the house.
Which left me with like 35 minutes till 9, which was the meeting time.
Bought a KFC toasted twister for breakfast. $2.50 only!!!! =D

So I was a little late. Sorry!!! But I wasn't the latest. That honour goes to... YINGYING!!!
So the 4 of us, (me, shafiq, andrea and theresa) went to the National Library first.
Lol, never knew that the library opens at 10am. So like before they open, they have this announcements reminding their staff to 'put on their name tags, put on a smile' etc. lol!!!
While waiting for yingying anf for the library to open, we took a bunch of pictures. I think I looked a bit retarded in those pictures.
Then yingying arrived and we took some more pictures. lol. then one of the staff came over and told us that we couldn't sit in that place, so we went into the reference library (after getting our bags checked and needing to put them in the locker)

Saw this really huge and heavy and smelly book in there. *cough*
We found a couple of books that could possibly be relevant. Though I'm not too sure.
We camwhored again. With shafiq's webcam that is. Cos cams aren't allowed in the library. Wah, like siao. we keep taking pics like no tomorrow. At least I look better in those photos.

Turns out, there were another bunch of MJC ppl in the library too.

As we left the library, we decided to take the lift to the highest floor and zoom all the way down (I love that)
unfortunately, that plan was ruined as the staff of the library took the lift too. Then we wanted to take some more pictures. The staff so kind, help us take the photo. But then he say we so free to roam around. Hey we not roaming around kay, we're doing our project.

It was raining as we left the library. Only yingying had an umbrella. So we decided that she would send each of us over one by one to bugis junction. After sending me (the first one) I think the rest got impatient and simple ran over. got drenched.

had lunch at the foodcourt in bugis junction.
KNS. the pepper lunch portion like damn pathetic leh. And so expensive, at $5.80!!
andrea got ripped off lol. her bandung cost like 20 cents more.

then after that me, shafiq and yingying went to city hall to walk around.
went to the esplanade, marina square and some other places.
we walked and talked a lot.
found a nice place to sit down and used shafiq's webcam to take some more pictures. lol.
it's really nice to spend time with them.
on the way home, we somehow ended up talking about O level results and teachers again.
Somehow, they made me feel that NAS's results were actually pretty good.

Had a very very horrible dream.
Dreamed that I repeated my O levels, (which didn't happen, but its still very scary).
Also dreamed that I was clueless in my Math A level exams.
I MUST NOT LET THAT DREAM BECOME A REALITY!!!

Was a little late for the meeting for science representatives. Cos I didnt hear the announcement. Apparently, I didn't miss much.

Passed the chinese essay, 38/60. Guess its better than a fail. 8/10 for listening comprehension. Which isnt too bad. I guess. Given my horrible comprehension of the chinese language.

Chemistry was kinda fun. KINDA only hor. Presented the PBL thingy. At least this time I didn't fluff up my lines (there weren't any lines to mess up anyway)

COLOSSEUM TODAY!!!! lol
actually also nothing much la, we just cheer and cheer and cheer only.
was so freaking hot I decided to spend the first half of the time practising a bit of chin ups and reading the GP handout. pretty interesting. I hope I will be able to write in a similar style soon... (fat hope though)

so after colosseum the erhu section went for dinner to discuss the 'present' for our seniors...
ended up deciding on writing notes on pieces of fancy paper and putting them in a bottle.
went to popular to get the necessary materials.
spent a lot of time >1.5 hrs in popular, talking and crapping and stuff.

In fact pretty much the whole class was tired today.
Almost dozed off during the math lecture.
Strangely enough, I was wide awake during the bio lecture.

Disappointed and happy.
Because I failed my econs test (which I knew that I would anyway, since I screwed up) but passed my chem test.
I need to revise everything.

screwed up chinese oral horribly. maybe I won't even get a "Pass"...?
Biology was CHOO CHOO TRAIN all the way. like seriously.
Math tutorial, went through a couple of arithmetic progression questions cos mr ng didn't have the bionomial answers D:
econs lecture. learned about the long run average cost curve. I like it. at least I am able to understand it... unlike the previous lectures where I would sit there in a daze as the lecturer talked gibberish.

Just a random thought. I wonder what life now would be like if I had obtained 6 points and got into TJC. Better? Or worse?

first thing I noticed was that I didn't bring my calculator.
I was like OH F*** (of cos I didnt actually say it...)

k so I looked at the questions and went...
damn... this is easy... ONLY IF I HAD STUDIED THE TOPIC.
I think this was supposed to be an easy test. But I didnt revise ionisation energies and some other stuff. So I anyhow whack liao. wrote some crap about shielding effect and effective nuclear charge...
then at the hydrogen bonding, I was like... T.T
1 mark gone liao. I totally dunno what the molecule would look like.
anyway, recess came right after that.
rushed through the bio tutorial.
for math, I managed to borrow cassandra's graphic calculator. thanks haha. (:
just like the chemistry test, this was supposed to be easy. but I think I made a couple of careless mistakes. and I forgot how to find the maximal domain of a function ):
had lunch though I'm not supposed to. how am I supposed to lose weight if I keep eating like this...
passed the GP test. 25/50. come to think of it, quite a number of people scored 25/50...
EDIT: apparently there WAS PE... hmm... but someone told me there wasn't...

I'm home early, which hasn't happened in like, weeks and weeks?
It's ironic that on the day I finally have time to collect my cert, I can't get through to the general office. like wth man.
CO's performance today was ok. Except for a certain part in the first piece, in which there was utter confusion (though we didn't show it)...
wow got a... 14/35 for the content mark for the GP paper. The only thing which can make me pass is a 11/15 for the language portion, which isn't happening anytime soon.
I HATE THE BIO TEST.
Really. I think it was doable, but I lacked time... which ended up in total disaster as I scribbled nonsensical answers...

Guess I should go and mug now, otherwise I'll end up failing the mid-year exams. Which is undesirable.

screwed up the bio spa, as usual. For some reason my readings were higher than anyone else's.
also broke a test tube. joel's fault D=. ok not really. What happened was that he dropped his test tube which shocked me and in turn I loosened my grip on the test tubes and they fell from my grasp. good thing only 1 broke.
Rewrote my esssy for GP. Although it's still kinda sucky, I feel that it should be better than before.

Booo~~ I don't know if tmr's NAPFA retest is for the 2.4 or 5 stations...

Hello peeps!
Had a great day today.
Firstly, I had a Sausage McMuffin with Egg Meal for breakfast.
Sooooooo long never eat liao.
Spotted kenneth and teck li (separately) near white sands.
Walked and ate and walked and ate on the way to andrea's place.
Got there early, so I waited till 1055 and went up. Funnily enough, theresa arrived at the same time I decided to go up.
ding-dong!.... turns out the doorbell wasn't working....
anyway, yingying was late cause she got lost. lol.
and shafiq was even later cause he had something on at school. give speech. woah. /imagines him giving a speech.
didn't have lunch, but andrea's oreo cookies saved me from starvation!! =D
turns out that we managed to get a lot more done that I thought we would be able to.
We watched a bit of 102 Dalmatians. Did I mention she has a Wii? Maybe next time can go over and play!! lol.
had alotta fun pretending to be people over msn.. *coughcough*

Even up to today I'm still amazed by contact lenses.
They have really helped increase my confidence. Not to mention clearere vision as well.
Looking through blog archives of certain people, it seems that there were a lot of emo people in secondary 4.

OMG theres so much work to be done.
GPP draft 1 due next friday, chemistry PBL report due on the same date too.
I am soooooooo slow in my tutorials.
PE wasn't too bad, although my timing for 2.4 is still kinda sucky. But I guess 11:39 isnt too bad, especially when I haven't run at all (excluding shuttle run) for weeks.

Well... CO got a silver.
But I guess that's not too bad, although we are all disappointed.
I mean, we've put in so much effort.
But what's done is done.

Was more nervous than I thought I would be.
I almost forgot the notes I was supposed to play...
I think our second song was great. It sounded much better than it ever had in all the practices we had.

Had a lotta fun with the electronic tuner. Its so damn difficult to hum/sing the correct note I want )= I must relearn how to reach the high notes.

I don't know why I'm aching all over...

and I also don't know why but I get the feeling that I'm drifting away from some of my classmates...

came real close to failing the GP essay test. 25/50. could have been much much worse. I expected <15.
PE was a little depressing. Mainly because I failed my standing broad jump. Again.
If I dont pass it on the retest, then I guess I'll have some 2-3 months to train for the next test. Which is actually a good thing. cos I can improve on the rest of the stations too.
SYF in 2 more days.
I'm so gonna be glad when this is over. I miss being able to actually do my work... on weekdays that is.
