Hello, just got back from A.Math tuition (Read: It's Two-E-Shen, not Till-Shen)
Was doing Practical Applications of Integration, the questions were actually pretty easy... Except for about 2, cos I forgot how to integrate cos(3x + pi/4). And I learnt something new today! Yay!
I goes like this:
There are two curves, y=x2 - 3x and y=-x2 + x + 6. They intersect at P and Q. Find the coordinates of P and Q and hence evaluate the area between the two curves.
How to find?
Method 1:
Step 1. Find P and Q.
Step 2. Sketch the curves.
Step 3. Integrate, with the respective limits, the parts of the curve and add them together, bit by bit. (since curves go into the negative areas)
OR
Method 2:
Step 1. Find P and Q.
Step 2. Let f(x) be y=x2 - 3x and g(x) be y=-x2 + x + 6.
Step 3. Simply integrate g(x)-f(x) with the limits set to the area bounded.

Why pick Method 2?
It's easy, simple and hassle-free! Because of this rule: area bounded by two curves = Integrate (Upper curve - Lower curve). The upper curve is the curve that is above the other. In this case, it is g(x).

Okok I get it, you are tired of Mathematics. So I'm getting off this topic.

Had something called sambal seafood fried rice for lunch today. Somehow, it didn't quite taste like what I expected it to be. But the spoonful of lime juice I added to it gave the rice a zesty, tangy taste (ok... this sounds like an advertisement)
I just applied a "purifying mask" to my face. It's kind of thick, but it went well.
I dug out some of my old papers from primary school, and among them I found those University of New South Wales papers for Primary 4-6. Looking back, I wonder how I even got them wrong, since the questions asked were pathetically easy. Like this one:
There are 4 animals, A, B, C & D. Length of A=3.4cm, B=4cm, C=3.3cm, D=4.3cm. Which animal has the largest body length? lol.
D&T gives me the blues. I still haven't really gotten started on the Journal yet... and it makes me wonder, how on earth did previous students get an A1 with such bland and tasteless folios?
This year's Chinese 'O' Levels seem to be so tough... heard that the first few to take the oral exam got the easy question :( Wonder what my question will be on? Youth/Beijing Olympics? The anti-smoking advertisment? The increasing cases of teenage STDs? The school drop-out rate? Hillary Clinton becoming the Queen of America? okaayyyyy... that was random.

Anyway....

OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG TAPESTRRRRRRRRRRRRRRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D
Going to tapestry tonight! :)
