chinese has been pretty interesting for some time. I hope it can remain this way. bio spa would have been perfect if not for the fact that I couldnt finish the worksheet... and what answers I gave were sloppy. GP... 'nuff said.
had the what science race thingy, was a house challenge member. cheng boon backed out at the last minute... boo~... then we(me, jia hao, jansen, adeeb and tasha) found out that our game would only be played at 4pm, which left us with like one and a half hour to do nothing. so we stoned for some time, and then the four of us (me, jia hao, jansen and adeeb) went to do chin-ups. did 7... as usual D=< must do more. watched teck li and jansen play basketball for some time.. then a pe teacher came along and scolded adeeb for playing with the basketball. lol. did a few more chin-ups, then we tried standing broad jump. still can only barely pass! E-D. must get at least a C.. then at 4pm we went and played the game for the house challenge thing. went for CO practice at 5 pm, ended at around 5.40pm. thats my day.
who wants to watch slumdog millionaire with me...?

had a rather fruitful day at school. learned why the second derivative of f(x) is able to tell us whether f(x) has maximum or minimum points. also learned that I flunked the chem practical (14.5/20). our chem teacher expects a minimum of 18 for now, and a perfect 20 in the future.. like wth... understood econs lecture today =D also had PBL presentation today. I think I talked a bit too fast... but then, we only had 7 minutes >.< Now i need to figure out who's in charge of CO instruments so I can contact her about putting my erhu in the CO instrument room first thing tmr... i dun want to lug it around all day.

BUT I MUST LOVE IT FOR ANOTHER YEAR. 23. I can get sentimental sometimes. 24. I might have a 'fierce' and 'stern' look, but thats just my default look. sorry! 25. I find doing this thingy to be a waste of time... =P

WAS an ISTJ. IS NOW an ESTJ. strange isn't it?
still figuring out how to do the economics tutorial essays... since direct copying from the lecture notes, though tempting, seems too simple... there's gotta be a proper way to write them...
maybe I should start on other tutorials. like math and chem and bio and and and...
oh and CO practice is gonna become crazy soon. they're increasing the number of practice sessions to 4 very soon. can you imagine, after running an average of 2.4, doing a wide variety of exercises like chin-ups, crunches, sit-ups n stuff, we still need to change back to uniform and practice our instruments? plus the fact that I'm not good at all... thats actually an understatement. I SUCK at erhu.
I dread the coming lecture tests...

Sorry for not updating, but things are starting to get rather busy.
lets see.. memorable things from the past two days... joel saying 'I want to lysis with you!' finding out that the lifesaving CCA had run into some problems.. so I'm sticking with CO... hiaz.. SYF is in like 2-3 months? getting a gold will be very tough with.... this CO. practices will be increased to 3-4 times a week, including saturdays. like wtf. how am I gonna find time to do my tutorials/revision/projects? >.< stress~~~ I realise that over at NAS, the CO is run very differently (i.e. better) makes me miss NAS abit. lol. hmm what else.... me n joel n luqman chionging chem tutorial 4 during the extremely boring chem lecture, and again during the tutorial. 'salty saliva' of wan ling... lol... running during PE lessons. its great, and I appreciate the exercise. Really. screwing up my first bio practical... I didn't understand what I was supposed to do at all

First day of the permanent timetable today. Let's see... Chemistry was boring. But at least I can now do tutorial 3. Yay reccess... was spent doing math with joel, abigail and evelynn. then math lecture... dont remember much about it damn. need to revise and read ahead.. had our first chem practical. we were had cos we had no idea where chem lab 3 was... the experiment was basic titration, but practically no one finished the working before the time was up. almost everyone was late for econs. terrible traffic jams I tell you. Economics lecture was about the Production Possibilty Curve (PPC) also known as Production Possibility Frontier in some cases. apparently, its highly simplified economy where it shows all possible combinations of 2 goods to be produced. had to learn how to link concept of opportunity cost to the curve... im kinda confused... need to revise... reccess again. lol. GP... nothing much was actually done... we just introduced ourselves to the GP tutor. math. weeee. the tutor spent some time getting to know us (well he mostly told us about himself). and then he went through several questions that we didnt know. bio.... sadly, our civics tutor, who is our bio tutor, was on a course. so we got this lady. Pardon me, but I had outbreaks of sniggering cos her accent was really really funny!!! >.< but she's good. she was able to explain HOW we are supposed to answer the question and how we know where the answer comes from.
took bus 81 with joel and evelynn. me and evelynn got off near pasir ris mrt station. while walking, we talked quite abit. she told me that i should have more confidence in myself, which I think is quite true.. I still am shy and have a slight inferiority complex. gotta do econs (screw it) and tutorials.. and PE is tmr. =/

sch. nothing much to say. except that I ended up sitting in the last row for econs lecture cos all other places filled up... -.- Once the new timetable starts, I'll probably be doing tutorials/reading lecture notes/textbooks/training for CCA/whatever. so yea, it's really a bit of a squeeze. currently folding stars for someone. abit boring, but good practice for when I get a gf in the future xD

WOOOOOOOOOOOO~~!!!! NEW TIMING: 12'09" !!! lol. but I need to do better. it's still not as good as I'd like it.
anyway, onto other news, nearly fell asleep in the bio lecture today D= its not that it was boring, but rather than I couldn't understand what the lecturer was talking about. plus she talks so fast. looks like I need tuition soon. If I dun want to be left behind. However, the chem lecture was a little boring. mostly because I had already finished much of what the lecturer was going through. I only really paid attention at the last 5 min cos that was the part which I had not done yet. Still dun get how that equation is formed though...
CCA talks today, with MJC bragging about their CCA record, yadayadayada. put my name on the lifesaving and taekwondo list. learned that the reason why training for lifesaving is all the way at TOA PAYOH is because the coach has an external team to train over there... so yea, training has to be done there. =/ but anyway, I hope I wont regret putting lifesaving as my first choice and getting it. I MUST learn to balance CCA and studies. In fact, I should go and complete the math and chem tutorials now. but before I do that, I have to revise the entire A.Math syllabus. kbai.

If only the rest of JC life could be as slack as now. But it's not gonna be. It's gonna be HELL. I now understand why people struggle to cope with JC life. There are like no breaks in between lectures and tutorials (unless you count lunchtime) and I think typical days will end at about 5+ to 7pm.
No new homework today, but I definitely need to finish the chemistry tutorial by tonight. I'm lagging behind.. Sat with a few of my CG mates and mugged together. hehehe. so much fun. especially when one of them is like so clever and stuff... but he's demoralised cause in his class, there were 18 6-pointers. so yea. dun be sad. even though you're not going to read this anyway. In fact, there are a lot of smart people in my class... haiz, must buck up liao. cannot slack anymore. we talked a bit (actually I mostly listened) about university and JC life, requirements for different courses, and why girls and boys sometimes give the wrong signals to people. ok now back to mugging.

ok. I'm officially exhausted. today was the last day of orientation. mass dance in the morning. damn fun again. then we played water games, but lucky I so super, nvr get wet much at all =D plus I hardly got mud on me when we had to crawl on our knees through the mud. unlike the others who had mud all over. haha. ok I sound damn bad.
re-established contact with a long lost primary school classmate of mine. apparently, he didn't recognise me either.. =/ why is it that I can recognise practically everyone but practically everyone doesn't recognise me.... then after the Great Meridian Siege (which they spelled wrongly as 'Seige'), we had our group photo taken and I rushed back home to shower and change into a red shirt (cos Phobos is red)
rehearsed the house performance (my group's part wasn't much, we were just supposed to throw crushed paper). oh and two more people said I look and sound INDONESIAN while another thought I was a scholar. like whaaaaaaat for the first and yay for the second. cos I look smart =D okok, so fast forward to the end of all the house performances. we danced and cheered and sang the college anthem like there was no tomorrow.
ok here comes the emo part (not me, I not emo anymore ok teck li -.-) so after the whole thing was over, we all assembled in the canteen. and it turns out, the house captain was a retainee... so he had to give us his leadership of the house. and then the leaders were like crying and stuff, cos it was the last time he would be speaking to them as captain. guess that shows what a strong bond they have. OH YEA, PHOBOS WON! WOOT!!! then I felt a little teary too, but I nvr cry... so we did the house cheers (ALL OF THEM) one last time. I nearly went deaf I tell you. then camwhoring session. then go home. super sleepy zzzzz hahahaha. I really like my group now. even though I still miss irritating people like cheng boon and teck li.

WOOOOOO~~!!! ONLINE BONDING SESSION ROCKS!!!
________________________________________________ Got home at around eight today. Which is kinda late, but acceptable. for now that is. so, it was orientation day 2 today. but before the event started, the principal gave us a talk. she reminded us to be punctual and the usual stuff, and to grow up, blah blah blah, but what really struck me was the thinly-veiled criticism of polytechnics (shall not elaborate, otherwise I kena found out and blacklisted D: )
Anyway, once all that crap was over, the Mass Meridian Monopoly (MMM, cool name rite?) began! WOOOOOOOO~!!!
ok theres too much to type about, but basically, we went around singapore via MRT to whichever stations we were supposed to go to. then we played games at the designated zones and gained points... yadayadayada.
Lunch at plaza singapura. the management didn't allow the whole group to enter at once. apparently a large gathering of people is illegal or something. whatever. so we split up into small groups and went to KFC and ate. I'm actually starting to kind of like the group. there's this super enthu girl who would probably make a good councillor or something. maybe house captain too. oh and this guy named joel who's a bit like kkj, but better. in fact much better. and, he asked if I was from indonesia... I mean like wth? first time got ppl say I from indonesia... usually from england/britain/china...??!!?!?!?!? so we talked and ate and talked some more.
then we continued and ran n stuff and it made me really tired. so I'm just gonna end it here. bye.

Wooooo~!! Orientation! So I went and checked, and yep, I'm taking 4 H2 subjects. Biology, Chemistry, Economics, Mathematics. I'm in Phobos 3. Adeeb, Abigail and Theresa (did I spell it right?) are in my class, I mean, Civics Group too. So, orientation was fun, but tiring. Couple dance in the hall rocks, not that I understand any of it though. Plus the games and cheering... you wouldn't believe how much we cheer -.- I'm like so tired. And it's only going to get better tomorrow. How does running around Singapore sound? not literally though...
p.s. I really appreciate the little acknowledgements, even if it's just a 'bye' and made by people whom I don't know well, such as kenneth and jansen. oh and this headache is killing me.

Today was slightly better. Well, maybe its becoz it was much shorter. Skipped most of the lectures. lol. Got my uniforms liao. But it feels sooooooooooooooooooooooo uncomfortable..
sian. need to pay $28 for 'orientation package'. China Studies in English seems intriguing... not that I'm taking it anyway.
Wooooo~!! My new timing for 2.4km: 12'31''! it might seem bad to you, but it means a lot to me! now if i could just reduce that by another 40 seconds...
